Sydney is caught in the grip of Gold Rush fever. Settlers previously resigned to scratching out a living in the fields now have a chance of striking it rich on the goldfields, while those of lesser moral standing find more lucrative opportunities on the other side of the law, as bandits and thieves.


One such gang of bandits have made a name for themselves with illicit activities and an uncanny knack of evading the law... leaving only a single figure "8" at the scenes of their various heists to taunt the local constabulary. And so was born the legend of the ‘Crooked Eight’. The gang's reign of terror reached its peak following their relocation to Manly Beach, where they locked horns with Henry Gilbert Smith, district founder and owner of a fleet of steamships. What happened next is the stuff of local legend, perpetuated by the myth of a lost treasure.

We recommend you arrive at your collection point 10 minutes before your scheduled start time. You may be one of the clever ones to solve the mystery of your Packhunt earlier, in which case your time with us may be shorter.
